Going Green While Saving Green

By Ryan Coisson

There has been a lot of buzz lately about environmental awareness. Our past and current use of energy has depleted our planet's natural resources, some even argue that it has changed our climate. While the legitimacy of these claims can be questioned, there are other advantages to using energy more efficiently. Not only does responsible energy use help preserve the environment, but it saves you money. In some cases, it can make you money.

The first and simplest step to energy efficiency is merely using energy only when necessary. Don't fire up you SUV just to drive up the street to a neighbor's house. Walking instead will make you healthier, and you'll save a bit of money on gas. Turning off lights, televisions, and computers when they're not in use can make a big difference in electricity consumption. If you make a solid effort, it will be easy to see the difference on your electric bill.

Another option is upgrading your cars to be more efficient in their energy usage. There are many new cars on the market that boast high miles per gallon while minimizing pollutants through exhaust. If you can't afford to buy a whole new car, you could consider a fuel catalyst. A fuel catalyst is an addition to your car that reduces pollution and fuel consumption. This is a less expensive alternative to buying a whole new hybrid car. You'll save loads of money on gas while acting responsibly.

Also, many new appliances have been designed to use energy more efficiently. Washers, dryers, and dishwashers have all made strides in energy usage. Buying a new appliance that boasts its energy efficiency probably won't cost you much more, but will save you plenty of money in the long run.

Whether your motivation is the environment, or what comes out of the U.S. Mint, using energy more efficiently is a wise choice.

Rentar (http://www.rentar.com/) is one of the premier fuel catalyst in the business.
